Established in 1912 Arizona Supreme Court is authorized by Arizona constitution where the judge term length is for 6 years and the number of positions is 5. Currently the chief justice of the Arizona Supreme Court is Ruth V. McGregor and she is in the position since 12th June, 2005.

It is the highest court in the US state of Arizona and it consists of a chief justice, a vice chief justice and three Associate justice. The governor appoints each justice of this court from a list which is recommended by a bipartisan commission. All the justices of the Arizona court fight for retention in an election, two years after their appointment and in every six years and the justice of this court retire at the age of 70 years old.

The jurisdiction of the Arizona Supreme Court is prescribed by the Arizona constitution. Except death penalty cases most of the appeals go through the Arizona court of appeals. The Arizona Supreme Court has sole jurisdiction over most of the appeals heard by the court. This court has original jurisdiction in other circumstances which is clearly mentioned in the constitution of Arizona. When a law unconstitutional is declared, the whole court must be full and seated. The most unique fact of the Arizona supreme court is that it has women chief justice and women vice justice.

There is little information which is excluded from the search results and they are sealed cases, non served domestic violence cases, mental health cases, juvenile incorrigible or delinquency cases, probate cases, victim cases and witness data. It is to be noted that the La Paz county, Yuma county, Cochise county and Mohave superior court. However, this website display cases where juveniles are parties only.
