A wage is financial compensation which is received by the workers as they work for their employer. An average wage is maintained by the government or organizations as the benchmark of wages and it is the mean salary for the workers and labourers. It has many beneficial affects. If the wage is different for every worker then the amount of wage becomes debatable. The debates are started by the people who get low wages. Employers all over the world belief that if the wage is medium, nor too high, nor too low, then it can be offered to every worker and they will not feel inferior or superior due to the amount of wages.

The concept of average wage is old enough. Organizations with socialist beliefs had policy which explained that the representatives or members of any organizations must not take higher wage than the working class of the organization. As described in the Lenin’s the state and revolution, the Dictatorship of the proletariat also featured that the deputies and officials were paid same as the workers. Many Christian churches have mention of Jesus thinking himself as the servant of his followers and many churches pay average wages to their clergy for this. There are some churches which pay huge wages to their ministers or pastors. There were many people who took average wages like Scottish socialist party members, Mark Serwotka, General secretary of the PCS union, Joe Higgins who was the socialist party TD in Ireland, John marek, former MP Dave nellist in the United Kingdom, Sinn Fein who was a politician of Ireland and Gerry Adams who was famous for having a holiday home in Donegal.
